Kids for Kindness: Help a Neighbor
It's week three of the Kids for Kindness challenge, and this week challenged the kiddos and I to "do something nice for a neighbor." This was a somewhat tough one for us since our schedules keeps us busy bees and we are usually only home in the very wee or very late hours. Also, we don't know our neighbors very well with the exception of a casual "hello, how are you doing?" The neighbors that we know semi well are also a young family with a schedule just as crazy as ours, so they are home just as little as we are.
The freezing east coast weather gave us an opportunity yesterday morning when we woke up to snow covering our cars. The boy kiddo and I decided to clean the snow off our elderly neighbor's car so she wouldn't have to. We didn't tell her that we did it, and we don't plan to as we decided it was more fun to have it be a random surprise, no thanks needed. Unfortunately no pictures either, because frankly it was way too cold and our little gloved fingers were frozen by the time we were done, so we bolted back inside and rewarded ourselves with hot cocoa instead of pictures!

Oh how nice and I bet your neighbor was very appreciative of the help! It's been BRUTALLY cold the past week, so that was a super nice thing you guys did!
